原唱：Village People（1979）
其代表作之一《Y.M.C.A.》是著名的同志神曲，而其版本的《Go West》其实也是在表达对同志的支持。歌名源自Horace Greeley的语录“Go West, youngman”，原是殖民统治口号，但在这里指的是70s美国开放的同志运动中心——美国西部，尤其是旧金山和LA，歌词也是表达希望同性群体勇敢追求自己的爱情。原曲是disco曲风。
Pet Shop Boys在1993年翻唱，在结尾和副歌部分还新写了一段，并将编曲改编为极具特色的合成器流行Synth Pop曲风。宠物店男孩版在英国火了，周榜peak 2。他们的改编翻唱也大受好评，入围NME评选的史上500佳单曲，位列No.333
